No worries about the battery on the ZAGGmate. While I don't use mine heavily I never turn it off. I have had it for nearly two months and have only had to charge it once. It gives you a warning (flashing power light) a couple of days before it goes totally dead. And if you are out and just have to recharge it you can do it by plugging it into the iPad via the Camera Connection Kit although this will shorten the iPad's useful life that day.
