This show has transformed from "The Technology Show for the Not-So-Geeky" to "The Technology Show for the Not-Geeky-At-All".
Sorry Ben for the harsh critic, but no offense, Andi just don't cut it. She just doesn't get it at all about this whole 'geeky thing'. At first I thought maybe in time she'll get the hang of it. But it's not.
I've been watching the show for two years now, and it's getting boring these days. Who needs a review from a person who doesn't have any idea at all.
Tiff well represents the whole 'not-so-geeky' community. But Andi doesn't seem to know how to fit in the show.
Enough ranting now. Hope you know this is because I love the show and hate to see it go downfall.
Anyway, gud luck with the show. Maybe I'll check back later on in the future if this show finally got better.
Cheers.
Only half agree with Ray. Andi does a great job being opposite the Uber-Geek Ben, however I do think that this being a technology show she could try to understand how techies work. Not dismiss an item because she cannot understand its usefulness.
Case in point the Mimo USB monitor. Ben's early explanation of using it to store the tools for a photoshop job is excellent and a great use for this device.
When editing in Photoshop the tool windows do get in the way and need to be either moved around a lot or switched off and on as needed. Having regularly used tools on a side monitor would be excellent. It leaves the main screen open so the whole image can be viewed whilst working. Sure, you could use a whole 'nother 19" screen, but that wouldn't fit in the laptop bag.
Andi just needs to acknowledge that some of the tech items are way more important to neo-fight watchers than a pair of shoes.
Cheers
Ben you need a new co-host. Andi is a nice person but not a geek. What is up with wanting a new shoes over technology? Are you kidding me?
She totally doesn't understand the power of the Sonos. She keeps calling it a speaker. I don't mind a counter point - but her argument to use an iPod doc does not match the wireless power of Sonos.
And the Mio 7 is also cool - what she should be offering is ways to use teh technology and counter ideas - not just negatmivity.
Sorry - but Andi is a drag to an otherwise great show.
The ZonePlayer S5 shrinks the Sonos streaming music experience down to a compact single-speaker system with great sound, which you can control from any iPhone or iPod Touch.
